TOP 4 TIPS FOR INSTAGRAMMING YOUR INTERIORS

In the world of high-end interior design there are so many unique ways to decorate a space. It is important to show off that hard work so why not take beautiful photographs of it!

Were seeing more and more famous social media accounts expressing there interior design choices on Instagram! Today I am going to share with you tips on how to market and display your work and get that instant picture perfect.

Clean up that clutter!
The most important thing to do before taking your photo is to clear out the clutter. You don’t have to make the picture look staged but tidying up makes a huge difference in your photo.

Search for the perfect focal point in your room and avoid any chaos. Simple is smart and will guarantee you a nice clean shot. Frame your shot and remove a few accessories before you finalize the space. You can create a true visual interest when carefully placing your home accessories and furniture in the background.

Color always matters
Choosing a color to paint your walls is always a difficult decision to make but fun at the same time. Working with neutral color palette gives you a lot of leeway to change your décor up a lot. Keeping it white is clean and simple and you can always change things up.

Get the lighting right
Lighting is key to a perfect picture sometime you need to find the right ways to brighten up a darker room. Natural light can change a photo completely. Pay attention to when and where there sun draws the most light into your home and that how you’ll know when to snap!

You will find the perfect balance of natural and inside lighting and you wont want to put the camera down!

Apps really make a difference
There is a huge difference between taking a photo with the basic camera app that comes with an iPhone or Android versus one of the many excellent photography and interior design apps available in the App Store. The most solid app choices are VSCO Cam and Camera+.

These apps give you so many options and filters to play with. You can just throw on a filter and like that your picture is ready to post!

HIGH END INTERIOR DECORATION INSPIRATION OF THE WEEK: WILDLIFE

We have discussed the unique power of nature and the brilliance it can bring to your home with interior design. I get excited when I come across new ideas that can powerfully impact a space.

This week’s high-end interior design inspiration will take you on a walk on the wild side. We have hunted down some of these exotic ideas that truly unleash unique style in your home.

Color Scheme
There are so many exuberant colors in the wild, so you can start by choosing a favorite animal. For example, you can develop a calm and neutral room by finding inspiration from the majestic beauty of horses. You can use various shades of brown to create a melodious and exquisite space. You can even add a framed piece of horse art to tie it all together.

Animal Aesthetic
Animal prints will always be seen throughout the interior design world. All the way from furniture like ottomans and sofas, to decorative throw pillows, animal prints can be inserted anywhere. It is even greater if you have personal artifacts or accessories from your last interesting vacation.

Animal prints as subtle or bold as you would like. First you need to determine how much texture, color, and pattern to weigh in on the room. You want to avoid confusing the eye with too many patterns. You want to choose a few home accessories wisely and match them with solid colors.

Wild Focal Points
Create an interesting focal point in your room with a true conversation piece. The Chippendale chair! The Chippendale style, named after its maker Thomas Chippendale, was popular during the 18th century. This style was modeled after 4-legged animals with a claw and ball foot.

Zebra, Cheetah, and Giraffe print area rugs also pin point a wild style. When choosing a rug it is important to condenser the size of the floor space and the amount of furniture. You can pick a bold print and really make your room stand out.

MUST SEE ART SHOW THIS WEEKEND: PHILODENDRON AT WOLFSONIAN – FIU

There are a lots of art galleries all over South Florida. If you love interior design as much as I do you know that different types of visual arts help inspire and make decorating decisions.

This week I spent time finding the perfect exhibit for you to take a looks at this weekend!

Exhibition:  Philodendron: From Pan-Latin Exotic to American Modern
When: Open House – Friday, October 16th, 2015
Where: Wolfsonian-FIU, 1001 Washington Avenue, Miami Beach, FL

In Philodendron, Central and South American flora are sprawling through out the exhibition. This show charts the migration of tropical plants from their native habitats to North American and European gardens and interiors.

Spanning three centuries and drawing together objects from the Amazon, Caribbean, and beyond, the survey explores this often-overlooked, Pan-American cultural exchange to deconstruct the “social lives” of the plants, from their influence on material culture to their impact on diverse fields ranging from the visual arts, architecture, film, and fashion to the agricultural, industrial, and medical sciences. You can read even more about the exhibithere.

I dare you to get inspired this weekend by such an exciting exhibit!
