TOP 5 WAYS TO INTERIOR DESIGN WITH MIRRORS

No matter where you live or what you do universally everyone looks into a mirror at least once a day. One of my favorite interior decoration inspirations, mirrors are truly fantastic home accessories that are greatly under appreciated and underused.

Not only are mirrors used to put on make up, build self esteem, and get yourself looking sharp in the morning; mirrors can also be used in many ways as a strong interior design tool.

If a mirror is placed properly they can help make small spaces feel bigger, bland spaces feel more exciting, and dark spaces seem lighter. You can always add a little jazz into the room by adding a mirror.

Today I am going to show you my top 5 ways to make mirrors work for you and your home.

Against the wall: You can create the illusion of more space by leaning a rather large mirror against a wall. You would want the mirror to be the same height as the wall to maximize this illusion. Put this mirror on the wall opposite a door and there you have it, letting the outside in.

In the entry: Having a mirror in an entry way is helpful for yourself and guests to have a quick look before going about there business.

As a group: Although a framed group of mirrors is more often used as a way to decorate the space above your couch, you can also add this to any wall to add pizzazz. The framed can vary in size, shape, and style because the mirrors will all have the matching component.

Replace your glass: if your tend to not keep your kitchen cabinets organized and not as presentable as you like you may want to reconsider the looks of your kitchen with glass cabinets. By switching to mirrored cabinets you can hide any messes and create a stable reflective surface.

Change a view: When your home allows you to have a view of the lovely outdoors you cannot waste that opportunity to expand it. You can set the mirror opposite the view to reflect it. However if you have a not so pretty view of say an alley, you can use a mirror to place on top of it.

SEE WHAT’S NEW TO THE MIAMI DESIGN DISTRICT

I just love when there is new development of luxury, especially when it is here in Miami! With the expansion and rise of the Miami Design District over the years I get really excited when I see even more growth.

The Miami Design District always has a lot going on, whether it’s the latest high-end fashion trends, or rising artists work in galleries. This neighborhood is flourishing and it will always be a stop on the tourist track as well as the locals.

I am happy to announce that Loewe and Emilo Pucci are the latest to join the luxury design party in the Miami Design District. Loewe’s brings their Spanish roots to the boutique with an authentic 18th century structure called a horreo. Found in a small town near the border of Galicia and Portugal it lives on the selling floor and highlights the brand’s Spanish heritage.

Loewe in Miami is the first North American store opening since Jonathan Anderson became the creative director for the fashion company owned by LVMH.

Currently on display at the shop are these exclusive and fabulous leather bowls, form the design convention in Milan, called the Salone del Mobile, Milan. Anderson worked with the artisan Jose’ Luis Bazan to craft these lustrous pieces with no real use except for high-end interior decoration.

Check them out at Loewe, 110 NE 39th Street, Miami Fl.

Emilio Pucci, also has a new designer and creative director. Massimo Giorgetti has replaced the former director Peter Dundas.

This boutique is located on 178 NE 39 Street, Miami Fl. The shop is emotes pure Miami fervor, with the Pucci 1966 Torre print adorned on the front of the building. It’s made with black and white maze-like blocks and resembles a jigsaw puzzle. This is Emilio Pucci’s third shop in Florida preceded by Aventura and one in Palm Beach.

The shop features a wide range of men’s and women’s swim wear, and resort pieces including the collaboration with Orlebar Brown+Emilio Pucci.

5 BEST HIGH END INTERIOR DESIGN WAYS TO LET THE OUTSIDE IN

Luxury interior design and decoration are popular topics for a reason – the environment we live in touches every other aspect of our lives.

Why not find a way to bring the nature in out environment! Today I am going to show you the best ways to do this.

These are the 5 most unique ways to let the interiors and exteriors blossom in your home.

1. Turn an outside space into a room:
Why not have the chance to eat your dinner outside! You can create a beautiful outdoor space into a dining room. All you need are the most easily transferable accessories such as table chairs, stone flooring and mood lighting that can fit your interior-decorating arrangement.

2. Frame that view:
Find that perfect opening or window in your home and work around it. The architecture will draw the eye from the interior accessories framing the space to the beautiful wonders that lie through the window. Framing a room this way will allow you to gaze past the estate’s boundaries. Having your furniture directed toward this opening will make a statement and open up space in the room.

3. Get rid of a wall:
See a wall that you can do without? Well knock it down and marvel at the new opportunities to inspire your outdoor interior decorating! You can open up a garden from ceiling to floor set behind your kitchen. Or create a patio outstretched from your dining room. Once these walls are down, the boundary between garden and living space disappears completely.

4. Let the light shine in:
Light is vital to bringing an alfresco touch to an interior space. A fully glazed roof will get you to your goal and creating this fairytale vibe. Given the ability to view the exterior walls from within the space emphasizes the open-air feel with a natural cozy ambiance.

5. Have your decorating theme be outdoorsy:
If your significant other has a problem with knocking down that wall then there are other ways you can bring the outside in. Bring in the woodland scenery into a room! Decorate a bedroom like a mystical forest with a branching metal bed, ascending ivy garlands and intricate leafy print textiles. Test it out if you are feeling adventurous!
