INSPIRATION DECORATION OF THE WEEK: CREATIVE FLOOR LAMPS

Elements of nature are always classy and universally beautiful in any space. Today I bring to you these endearing floor lamps that stand on knotted tree like stems.

Within interior design there is always a way to incorporate natural components. Architecture and design are one with nature. This week Wall Street Journalist, Alexa Brazilian, inspires us.

Eccentric lamps will give off a distinguished and high-end stylization. Rare finds like these are genius-decorating accessories when placed in the right setting.

Find your ornate floor lamp and test it out in your living room this spring.

Miami Design Meets Modern Art

There’s nothing I love more than discovering a beautiful home with a beautiful, high end interior design…especially when it’s in my hometown of Miami. And when you through some fantastic modern art into the mix…then I’m really in Heaven.

Lourdes Fernandez-Grattan’s ranch-style home was built in the ’50’s, which gave it the perfect bones to be a canvas for beauty. In addition to transforming into a truly lovely space, Lourdes turned it into a showcase for her avant-garde art collection (much of it South American in character).

At its best, high end interior design should be a reflection of a homeowner’s great taste. This home is the perfect example of that.

There are so many new art openings in Miami so add them to your itinerary this weekend. I dare you to get inspired this week by one of these wonderful art exhibits!

INTERVIEW WITH THE REAL ESTATE GURU: RENATA SANTOS

On this episode of DesignTV With Steven G., we talk to one of South Florida’s most high-end realtors.

Coming to us from Brazil! Renata Santos is a queen in the world of luxury housing and properties. She has come here today to talk to us about her knowledge of the recent international buyer market in to Miami.

As you know high end real estate and luxury interior design work hand in hand.

That’s why I invited her down to the showroom to talk to you.

Let’s get started…

HIGH END FASHION MEETS HOME DESIGN

There are always new and exciting advances in the world of high-end interior design.

If you are a fashion forward enthusiast than you will be happy to hear about these famed fashion designers adding their professional touch to interior accessories.

The ruler of city grunge, Alexander Wang is a fashion designer and creative director for Balenciaga. His infamous ‘bean bag chair’ has been talked about in the Wall Street Journal. Wang has also teamed up with Italian furniture maker Poltrona Frau to create a 3-piece collection.

This isn’t a first for the fashion world. Ralph Lauren has been selling luxurious home wares since the 1980’s. Pierre Cardin went from haute couture to futuristic furniture in the 1970’s.

The evolution of interiors design can be seen in many different industries. It is strongly correlated to visual art and fashion design.

TECHNOLOGY MEETS FITNESS REVEALED: ENZOEBIKE

On this episode of DesignTV With Steven G., we talk to one of Pompano Beach’s most knowledgeable manufacturers and business owners, Felipe Laverde.

Certain technologies are inherently linked to the success of any high-end interior design project. Combining amazing luxurious products with beautiful designs can lead to an amazing home.

So I invited him down to the showroom to show you the remarkable ENZOeBike.

I think you are going to love it!

THE POWER OF ‘RED’ IN INTERIOR DESIGN

Valentine’s Day is around the corner so I thought that I would share with you what the color of love means for interior design!

Red is the color that represents Valentine’s Day because of the passion and feeling that it evokes. Red has both sentimental and fiery representation.

Now I am going to show you a few fun ways to bring the inspiration of ‘red’ into your space!

Painting the exterior front door of your home or apartment red will give off very warm and welcoming vibes. It will entice visitors and your guests to come inside.

Try painting an accent wall red in your living room to create contrast and lead guests in. A red accent wall can provide a joyful and vibrant backdrop as well as a focal point to any room.

Another way to bring a glimpse of red into your home is through accessories. Try adding an area rug with an interesting red pattern. This will help define a space and introduce a decorative flair.

Last but not least you can bring a flash of red into your home with furniture of course! Add a red high gloss finish to those kitchen chairs, or place a red velvet love seat to your living room. Either way you will be bringing the romanticism and excitement into your home.

Read about more ways to decoratively add red to your home.

Remember spend time with your loved ones on this Valentine’s Day!
